Tournament ready Atsadi (Set 1)

For set 2/updated version, please go here

For reference, I play exclusively Atsadi since the end of the kickstarter on Exaltered. I played him in the Angers tournament and went 6/4. Could be better, but still fine^^ I won't stop building decks for him and playing him until people recognise his potential. This is my latest version.

General

No surprise, this is a ramp deck. Hitting your mana early on to play biggies is the way to go.

Mulligan

The deck has been built to give great stability on the first hand. Best options are :

Slower starts are also possible with Guerriera del Rifugio.

Rovistatore Axiom is there to help in the ordis matchup and advance in the deck

How to play

Except from ramping, what to do?

I recommend to try not advancing the same biomes as your opponent to create an asymetrical position and play more easily with your Grande Jinn and Figlio di Yggdrasil. If you feel like you can challenge your opponent, do it. Force him to use as many ressource as possible and he will have difficulties countering your big gigantic characters.

In the mid game, you try to draw while pressuring your opponent. Setting up a 4/4/4 Atlante is amazing; sabotage draw elements from your opponent is great. Remember that you have more mana. you are the one putting stats on the board.

Late in the game, Sakarabru is a great comeback tool if needed. If played correctly, you will advance with your opponent, but he will also go back 1 expedition. He is also key against Piccolo Passo, Grande Balzo

Piccolo Jinn and Issun-bōshi offer great spikes in and . They are amazing at both temporizing your big characters and providing good stats

Unique choices

At least one of your unique should help with the stability of your deck. More ramp (with good enough stats) = more win. in most matchups, you shouldn't be afraid to give your opponent mana with uniques Aja. They are honestly pretty good. Other than the stability, uniques should feel impactful while not being too expensive in mana. 4-6 mana fills a sweetspot in this kind of deck :)

Recommended modification if meeting lot's of deck that are weak to removal : Delete Son of yggdrasil -->Mana eruption to rare --> + 2 intimidation

Againt Yzmir Sakarabru makes a difference, I agree, but you need the initiative. Against Treyst, maybe trying to slow them with Sleep or even intimidating their first cards and avoiding to reach the reserve. Bravos has no spell to give fleetness, so I have no other ideas.

Worst matchup is definitely Treyst. To be 100% honest I still haven't found the right strategy again him. Slowing him down or putting as much pressure as possible might be the way to go? Matchups that needs some knowledge are Afanas and Teija. Sakarabru ftw in those

Since you have played so much with this hero, could you tell me which are the worst matches for this deck? Any piece of advice for those occasions?

Choices mde for this deck 3 : - Rare Atlas is way stronger than the common, but way more prompt to sabotage or fleeting giver; - Common mighty djinn to ramp quicker. If the meta gets slower, the rare one is amazing.

Choices made for this deck 2 : - Achille and mind apotheosis are shit; - Haven has few value in this deck; - I played intimidation over mana eruption when old robin existed; - physical training could be played but is more risky

Choices made for this deck 1 (not enough space in the description) : - No muna bastion. Because short on rare and the tempo loss is pretty bad. - Tomoe Gozen did not make the cut to favor a more stable early - Atsadi ramp > Kojo Ramp in this setup. Card draw make you win game.
