I have been meddling with Auraq & landed on this concept. The idea is pretty straight forward. Pick up the cards that share similar stats spikes to strengthen my presence on 3 regions Forest/Mountain/Forest&Mountain. The game plan is to start aggressively (ideally Martingale or inkcaster T1), ideally ramp on turn 2 with Djinn and possibly land a first Hydracaena turn 3. Auraq ability should be available by turn 5 consistently, but you can activate it as soon as turn 4. I would advise to hold on it if the opponent doesn't have a permanent or an anchored character as you could hit a few spells and lower the efficiency of the ability, turning it into a simple draw. If Auraq's ability lands a strong body for free, it's time to set up an Ether. If it hits an Ether, GG you can keep on playing your characters and enjoy 3 draws per turn. The goal is to advance the expeditions even if we can't block the ennemy and block them on the lands where we have stats spikes.
