Introduction

A combo/controlish afanas decklist.

Gameplan

Afanas is a hero that wants to play spells after putting at least one character on the board to trigger his power after each spell.

The list is running a lot of removal and sabotage to disrupt your opponent plays while boosting your characters.

Usually you want to swing some specific turns with value removal and take one or two expeditions lead over your opponent then keep this lead until the end or make this swing just at the very end to win instantly.

Keep in mind that for the late game you can win instantly the game by playing Small Step, Giant Leap when your hero and companion are side by side.

Starting hand

One of the best combo of the deck is Kadigiran Mage-Dancer + Helping Hand

You can draw one card turn 1 and 2 with that combo and easily one more turn 3. So you keep that every time in your opening hand.

Bravos Bladedancer + Helping Hand is also a very decent starting hand.

Uniques

You want to look at Uniques that contain :

• When you play a Spell

• Draw card

• Return a Spell/card from your Reserve to your hand
