The basic idea is to counter opponent strategy by sending to reserve, sabotaging, discarding opponent characters while trying to obtain in-hand card advantage and boosting characters via Afanas effect (anchored characters when possible). Main goal each round is to win at least in 1 expedition with a big anchored creature, pretty much like in a zig-zag deck. One small step at a time for a big leap to victory.
